Terms of Use

This English text is the authoritative version of this page; translations are provided for convenience. For users in Türkiye, the Turkish version prevails (see section 15).

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of the Pixfect iPhone app (“the app”), made by HD App Studio, a brand of HD Yapımcılık ve Teknoloji Ltd. (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app you accept these Terms.

The app is licensed to you through Apple’s App Store, and Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. These Terms add to the standard EULA; where they conflict regarding your licence to use the app, the standard EULA prevails. How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy.

2. The service

Pixfect is a photo editor and beauty camera. Editing, retouching, object removal, background tools, filters, upscaling and camera effects all run on your iPhone. There is no user account and nothing to sign in to. Some AI engines are downloaded the first time you use them (over Wi-Fi) and then run on the device; some features need a more recent iPhone.

3. Free use and Pixfect Pro

Without a subscription you can:

• take photos with the live beauty camera using the “Natural” look;
• edit with Crop (including straightening), Enhance → Auto, the Adjust controls Brightness, Contrast, Saturation and Temperature, and 8 filters;
• save as many edited photos to your photo library as you like; photos saved without a subscription carry a small “Pixfect” watermark in the corner. Removing location and camera details when saving (“Strip metadata”) is always free.

Free users can try some Pro items — the other filters and adjustments, and Enhance’s noise reduction, sharpening and Portrait HD — on their photo as a preview. Saving a photo that contains a Pro edit requires Pixfect Pro; you can also remove the Pro edits and save for free.

Pixfect Pro (subscription) unlocks:

• saving without a watermark;
• all camera looks and video recording with the live beauty camera;
• all 132 filters and every Adjust and Enhance control (for example HSL, curves, noise reduction, sharpening, Portrait HD and HD / Ultra HD quality);
• Retouch, object removal (all engines), Background, and Add (text, stickers, frames and drawing);
• batch editing and the metadata cleaner for photos already in your library.

We may add, change or remove features in future updates. If we move a feature from free to Pro, we will not take it away during a subscription period you have already paid for.

4. Subscriptions

• Pixfect Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription with a monthly and a yearly plan. The current price in your currency is shown in the app before you buy.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase (or, if you start a free trial, when the trial ends).
• The yearly plan may include a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the yearly subscription starts and is charged. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
• The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
• You can manage or cancel the subscription at any time in your iPhone’s Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions (also reachable from Pixfect’s Settings → Manage subscription). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
• Purchases are handled by Apple. Refunds are decided by Apple under its policies; you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
• To use Pro on another device or after reinstalling, use “Restore purchases” with the same Apple ID.

5. Your photos and videos

Your content stays yours. Because processing happens on your device, we do not receive, see or store your photos, videos or edits, and we claim no rights in them. You are responsible for having the right to edit and share the pictures you use, including pictures of other people.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the app to:

• edit or share images of another person in a way that violates their rights, privacy or dignity, or without the consent the law requires;
• create or spread deceptive content intended to mislead or harm others, such as fake evidence, impersonation or manipulated images presented as real events;
• create sexual content involving minors or any content that exploits or harms minors, or non-consensual intimate imagery;
• harass, defame, threaten or discriminate against anyone;
• break any law, or infringe copyrights, trademarks or other rights.

7. AI features

Some tools use machine-learning models. Their results are generated automatically and can be imperfect or unexpected. In particular:

• Object removal fills the area you erase with new pixels predicted from the rest of the photo, on your device. The filled area is a plausible reconstruction, not a record of what was really there.
• Enhance → Quality upscaling (Ultra HD 4×) uses our own on-device model to increase resolution, and Portrait HD sharpens facial detail. Both enhance the existing photo; they do not restore or redraw a face and cannot recover detail that is not in the photo.

You are accountable for the edits you make and how you use the results.

8. Third-party components and credits

The app includes open-source software and models under their own licences, including MediaPipe face models by Google (Apache License 2.0), MobileSAM, LaMa and Depth Anything V2 (Apache License 2.0) and MI-GAN (MIT). Our Ultra HD upscaling model was trained by HD App Studio only on photographs from the Open Images dataset published under the Creative Commons Attribution 2.0 licence (CC BY 2.0); we thank the photographers. Notices are shown in the app under Settings → Model licenses.

9. Our rights

The app, its design and our own models are owned by us or our licensors and are licensed, not sold, to you. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, sell or reverse-engineer the app or extract its models, except where the law expressly allows it.

10. Disclaimer

We work hard to make Pixfect reliable, but the app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that it will be error-free, always available, or that results will meet your expectations. Keep your own copies of important photos; the app never changes your originals, but you are responsible for your own backups.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, or loss of profits arising from your use of the app, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Pixfect Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for intent or gross negligence, or your mandatory rights as a consumer (including under Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502).

12. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms. We will publish the new version on this page with a new date before it takes effect; material changes will also be mentioned in the app’s release notes. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it (and cancelling any subscription in your Apple ID settings). We may suspend access to features that depend on our services if you seriously breach these Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Disputes are handled by the competent courts and consumer arbitration committees of Türkiye. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.

15. Governing language

This English text is the original and authoritative version of these Terms. Translations into other languages are provided for convenience only. In case of any dispute or discrepancy between a translation and this English text, the English version prevails and is used. The only exception is the Turkish version, which prevails for users in Türkiye.
